AL-KO Octagon Shock Absorber – Blue (244085)

Significantly improve towing stability, reduce hazardous trailer sway, and protect cargo against severe road shocks with the AL-KO Octagon Shock Absorber (Blue), distributed by Burquip. Specifically calibrated for mid-weight single-axle (up to 1,350 kg) and tandem-axle (up to 2,700 kg) chassis setups, this tuned hydraulic damper eliminates unwanted suspension rebound, delivering smoother tracking and safer braking over corrugated gravel routes and highway journeys alike.

Key Features & Benefits:

• Weight-Specific Hydraulic Tuning: Engineered specifically for 1,350 kg single axles (or 2,700 kg tandem sets), avoiding both the violent harshness of over-damped shocks and the dangerous bounce of under-damped alternatives.

• Octagonal Rubber-Mounted Bushes: Features AL-KO’s signature low-wear, pre-stressed elastomeric connection eyes that absorb high-frequency micro-vibrations and resist twisting forces during suspension articulation.

• Immediate Rebound & Sway Damping: Rapidly settles the chassis following sudden road dips, speed humps, and crosswinds, minimizing trailer wander and tire hop for superior road holding.

• Integrated Overload Protection: Built with internal hydraulic bypass valves that safeguard the damper against damage caused by extreme bottoming-out or severe road surface impacts.

• All-Weather Automotive Seal Quality: High-grade chrome-plated piston rod and dual-lip seal design prevent dirt, mud, and road spray ingress, ensuring leak-free performance in demanding environments.
